1. Which is the right surface for me?

back to the questions

Considerations when making that decision

a. Budgetary Constraints

When developing the Centrecourt Pro System, we have drawn upon over 30 years of experience of material installation techniques and customer requirements. As a result, we are confident that our products are among the best available. However, top quality does not have to mean top prices. Although first class materials and workmanship are not cheap, no premium is added to our prices for prestige. This allows us to offer a price, which is more competitive, giving much better value for money.

b. Intended Use

Your first consideration when planning a build is “What am I going to use this surface for?”.

For example, do you need a portable surface to host a one off or annual tennis tournament? If so, the Centrecourt Pro Loose-lay system will be perfect for you. The surface can be laid in 2-3 hours, played on in less than 2 more hours and packed away and moved on 2 hours after the end of the tournament.

Does your surface need to be hardwearing and durable to withstand the rigors of rollerbladers or hard rubber soles of 5-a-side footballers? If so, the Centrecourt Pro Acrylic range can be formulised with additional hardening qualities to provide such a hardwearing and longer-lasting surface.

Do you need a surface that won’t crack – ever, even if he sub-base does? Be very low maintenance? And not cost a fortune in repairs over the years? Then the Centrecourt Pro loose-lay system or Bonded system can provide all this.

Do you need a surface that will provide extra shock absorbency for its users, keeping them more on the court than at the doctors? Centrecourt Pro Bonded and Loose-Lay systems provide a shock pad that acts as an impact absorber for joints ligaments and supplements the bodies natural shock absorbers during physical activity.

Do you need a surface with great durability, but cannot afford the luxury of installing a shock pad base? The Centrecourt Pro Acrylic with cushion will provide a long lasting surface, protecting your sub-surface from oxidisation and wear; will ensure a true bounce; is responsive to spin and imparts excellent resistance to slip in wet and dry conditions.

c. Installation

Is it important that the new surface on which you are intending considerable outlay should be installed to the highest standard, to ensure that after only a short time re-installation or application isn’t necessary? We have a highly trained and vastly experienced team of installers who will install the surface, wherever part of the world you are. They will train your installers the best way to lay the surfaces and when they are sure they are capable of installing the surface to the standard required will issue a Certification of Installation.

2. How much is it going to cost me in maintenence costs over the years?

 back to the questions

Centrecourt Pro will require very little maintenance. The shock pad surfaces will not crack, but we recommend that you pressure clean once a year.

3. How will the surface perform?

back to the questions

The official ITF (international Tennis Federation) test results for this surface, giving slip resistance, surface pace and the traction coefficient and how they compare to official recommended standards, can be found in the Technical Information sections within this website.

4. Can I have the surface in any colour, or a mixture of colours?

back to the questions

We have a range of 12 standard colours for you to choose from, of which any combination of two can be incorporated into the surface. Please ask for available colours.
